The attached chart entitled “Where Does My Money Go?” shows the breakdown of Woodbury University’s audited operational expenditures for the 2019 fiscal year. Please note that salaries/benefits plus scholarships/financial aid account for roughly 75% of total expenditures, and that faculty and staff need to be paid and receive health and other benefits whether we have an in-person or online campus environment.

It is also important to note how the total of Woodbury’s gross tuition, fees, room, and board compares to its peer universities. It has the lowest cost of the private universities of its size. Please see the chart on our website.

While audited financials for the fiscal year 2020 will not be available until later this year, the President has indicated that scholarships/financial aid have increased by over $2 million in the fiscal year 2020 compared to 2019. Also of interest: In Fall 2019, 63% of the entering class of undergraduate students were ethnic minorities; and 85% of our entering students received scholarships/financial aid.
